100-year-old professor shared the secret to a long life: it's just one habit.

Professor John Scharfenberg, a nutrition expert from Loma Linda University in California, spoke about his life and shared the secret to longevity. He claims that physical activity plays an important role in the daily routine for a long life.
Scharfenberg, born in Shanghai in 1923, graduated from Harvard School of Public Health in 1956. He lost two of his brothers - one at the age of 14 and the other at 17. However, he is confident that he will not die 'next year' and will continue to live.
The secret of Scharfenberg lies in daily physical training.
«You need to exercise every day. It's very important. I lost two brothers - one at 14 and the other at 17. They are already dead, and I am still alive», he emphasized.
The professor stresses that people should understand that being overweight increases the risk of death from various diseases. Even if a person is obese, they can still live longer with daily physical training.
«A man who smokes and has hypertension and high cholesterol can live longer than a person who does not have these problems but engages in sports», added Scharfenberg.
Benefits of Physical Exercise
The National Health Service states that physical exercise can reduce the risk of serious diseases such as ischemic heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and cancer. They can also reduce the risk of premature death by 30%.
Doctors recommend that adults be active every day and physically work for at least 150 minutes a week in various ways of activity.
For example, JoeCleta Wilson, who turned 100, continues to be active and energetic. She believes that regular physical activity helps her maintain her vitality.
Wilson is confident that her activity and health have influenced her longevity to 100 years, thanks to constant engagement, work, and communication with other people.
