Problems with EU sanctions against Russia
A confidential document from the German Foreign Ministry indicates serious problems that the European Union faces in ensuring the effectiveness of sanctions against Russia due to China's actions and cooperation with the United States. According to the Ukrainian foreign intelligence service, China provides routes for evading anti-Russian sanctions and supplies essential goods to Russia's defense sector.
Despite successful measures against the 'shadow fleet' and restrictions on the export of military goods through third countries, cooperation with the United States is becoming complicated. This may lead to the adoption of new EU sanctions against Russia in connection with regular attacks on Ukraine.
