Multiple-time champion of Ukraine, master of sports in mountaineering. Let's remember Taras Tsushko.

Every day at 9 am, Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives have been taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Taras Tsushko.
On April 2, 2025, a tragedy occurred; the outstanding Ukrainian mountaineer and soldier Taras Tsushko lost his life while performing a combat mission. This was reported by the Sports Committee of Ukraine.
Three years ago, Taras Tsushko joined the ranks of Ukraine's defenders as a volunteer, choosing the path of a defender of the homeland. He was a well-known mountaineer and a member of the climbing club 'Odesa'. Throughout his life, he conquered peaks, but he died while fulfilling his military duty to protect our land.
Taras Tsushko was not only an incredibly talented mountaineer but also an instructor who helped newcomers learn mountaineering. He shared his experience and knowledge during training in the mountains of the Caucasus and Pamir-Alai.
The farewell to the Hero took place on April 6 at the mountaineering club 'Odesa'. The body of Taras Tsushko was buried at the Kryzhaniyivka cemetery.
'Glavkom' joins in a moment of silence, honoring the memory of all those killed by the Russian occupiers. We remember and light candles of remembrance, recalling all those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine: military personnel, civilians, and children, all those who had to perish during the attack of hostile troops on Ukrainian cities and villages.
