The US announced new military assistance for Ukraine
The American administration announced the provision of new military assistance packages to Ukraine and the holding of a 'Ramstein' meeting by January 20, said White House advisor John Kirby during an online briefing for the media.
According to Kirby, the next meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in 'Ramstein' format will take place before the end of the term of the current administration in the US.
The White House advisor also reminded about the previously provided military assistance under the USAI program and under presidential powers. 'I think we can expect additional announcements regarding assistance to Ukraine in the field of security in the near future,' he emphasized.

Recall that on Monday, US President Joe Biden announced the provision of defensive assistance to Ukraine amounting to over 2.47 billion dollars. In particular, 1.25 billion dollars was allocated under the presidential powers program (PDA), and 1.22 billion under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI).
