Donbas on the brink of a water catastrophe: reservoirs have dried up, water supply is destroyed.

The situation in the occupied Donbas is becoming increasingly critical due to a lack of water, threatening a humanitarian catastrophe. According to local media, the reservoirs that supply the Donetsk agglomeration are practically exhausted. Journalist Denis Kazansky emphasizes that the Russians are extracting water from the reservoirs on the Krinka near Makiivka and Khartsyzk. Even the water supply from the Don River, built by the occupiers, does not provide adequate water, forcing the use of water from small rivers and reservoirs, but this is not enough.
“Donbas is on the brink of a water catastrophe, which will clearly happen this summer,” it is emphasized in the statement.
Even Russian propaganda channels acknowledge the problem: the channel 'Russia 1' showed the catastrophic shallowing of the Krinka River. According to the so-called 'head of government' of the 'DPR' Yevgeny Solntsev, the issue of water supply in the occupied territories of Donetsk region will not be resolved even by 2026.
Analysis:
The water supply situation in occupied Donbas is deteriorating day by day, threatening the lives of local residents. The lack of water could lead to a serious humanitarian catastrophe, worsening the already difficult situation in the occupied territory.
