France and Britain discuss the deployment of their troops in Ukraine - Media.

France and Great Britain are looking for ways to ensure the security of Ukraine
In Paris and London, various options are being discussed to ensure Ukraine's security in the event of peace negotiations with Russia. One such option is the deployment of French and British troops along the demarcation line to monitor the ceasefire regime. This was reported by the Lithuanian ambassador to NATO.
These discussions are taking place only in a few capitals, not at the NATO level. Paris and London are trying to prepare options for different scenarios of developments so that, if new US leadership raises the question of how European countries can assist Kyiv, they would have ready support options.
Such options are being considered to ensure the involvement of European allies in the peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia under the mediation of the new US President Donald Trump. In addition, the development of specific proposals and options is necessary to support Kyiv.
France and Great Britain are considering the possibility of leading a military coalition in Ukraine and deploying their troops on its territory. This idea is also supported by Lithuania.
If France decides to send troops to Ukraine, it does not need permission from NATO. This can be a national decision of individual states.
French President Emmanuel Macron previously stated that France could send its troops to Ukraine if necessary. He called for this after a potential Russian offensive.
