Galushchenko spoke about the gas reserve for the heating season.

Ukraine's Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko claims that the country has sufficient natural gas reserves for the 2024/2025 heating season.
He made this statement during the government question hour in parliament.
According to the minister, the existing reserves are sufficient, even considering the increased gas consumption by power generation facilities. Moreover, Ukraine has all necessary agreements for the possible import of additional gas volumes if needed.
In early October, the head of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, Oleksiy Chernyshov, noted that the heating season is planned to start with gas reserves exceeding 13 billion cubic meters.
The target indicator is set at 13.2 billion cubic meters. At the Time of the statement, there were 12.6 billion cubic meters in underground storage facilities (PSG). Additionally, it is planned to create a reserve in the "customs warehouse" mode, amounting to 500-600 million cubic meters, funded by an EBRD loan.
According to Naftogaz, during the last heating season of 2023/2024, 6.7 billion cubic meters of gas were used from the PSG, with consumption this year at approximately the same level.
