The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Andrii Hnatov, met with listeners of the training course for the leadership of army corps. This was reported by the press service of the General Staff. Speaking about the reorganization of the command system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the conditions of war, Hnatov emphasized that the army corps is considered the core component for conducting operations.
The process of staffing army corps with servicemen who have real combat experience is currently ongoing. We are reinforcing the organizational and staffing structure with experienced combat commanders. To win, we must meet the demands of the times and the situation on the battlefield. We are doing everything necessary for this.During the course training, proposals have been developed regarding the generalization and implementation of combat experience, the preparation of doctrinal documents, as well as the automation of a number of processes in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the supply of weapons, military equipment, ammunition, etc. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that Ukraine has begun to implement organizational reforms for the transition of the Armed Forces to a 'corps structure'. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will switch to the corps system in April this year, which will help improve the efficiency of military operations. Major General Andrii Hnatov was appointed to the position of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by Volodymyr Zelensky. Thus, Hnatov became the second key figure in the military hierarchy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is known that he has experience in military affairs. In an interview, Hnatov noted that the rotation of military personnel is a very sensitive topic. The Armed Forces of Ukraine need air defense and precision weapons the most on the front lines, as well as well-trained soldiers.
