Members of the UEFA Congress honored Alexey Bugayev, who was eliminated by Ukrainian defenders, with a moment of silence. The UEFA Congress meeting took place in Belgrade, where subtitles were shown with the names of football figures who passed away in 2024. In particular, Alexey Bugayev, a former player of the Russian national team who was eliminated by Ukrainian defenders, was mentioned. Bugayev played for clubs such as 'Lokomotiv', 'Tom', and 'Krasnodar', and also represented the Russian national team. He also won the Russian Super Cup. Later, there was talk about Alexander Rabotnitsky, who was a Paralympic medalist but became a victim of organic brain damage. His loved ones were surprised that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation signed a contract with a person who had health problems. Rabotnitsky served in an intelligence company and was diagnosed with gambling addiction.
