Merz, Macron and Starmer want to talk to Trump before his call with Putin.

European leaders prepare for Trump's meeting with Putin
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer want to coordinate their actions with US President Donald Trump ahead of his scheduled talks with the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
As reported by 'Hvylya', Reuters writes about this.
'We have now agreed that we will speak again - four heads of state and government and the American president in preparation for this conversation (Trump and Putin, - ed.)', - said Merz on Sunday in Rome during the ceremony of the enthronement of Pope Leo XIV.
He also noted that they can only hope for further progress in the peace process for a diplomatic resolution of the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Merz reported that he has already had a conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio regarding the scheduled phone call between Trump and Putin on Monday. Recall that on May 17, Trump stated that he would speak with Putin 'on Monday at 10 o'clock'. It was previously reported that Zelensky met with Vance and Rubio at the Vatican.
