Mykolayiv will receive water: construction of the water pipeline is nearing completion

The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine is actively working on restoring water supply to Mykolayiv. Deputy Minister Kyrylo Kovalchuk reported that work is being conducted around the clock, and results are already visible - over 90% of the route has been laid, and work at the pumping stations is nearing completion. A water intake facility has been prepared on the Southern Bug River, which is an important step towards completing the project.

'The city needs drinking water, so work is being done around the clock - and it is yielding results. We are approaching the final stage,' he emphasized.

The project includes backup power supply for continuous water delivery even in the event of power outages. Water for the pipeline will be taken from the Southern Bug River, and the preparation of the water intake is almost complete.

Solar power plants and irrigation system

In addition to restoring water supply, plans include the installation of solar power plants at the pumping stations and the creation of an irrigation system for farms in the region.

Thanks to the optimization of technical solutions proposed by the Recovery Agency, it has been possible to reduce the cost of the project by more than 2.5 billion hryvnias. The saved funds will be directed to other important pipeline projects. The completion of the main works is planned by the end of July, and centralized water supply to Mykolayiv is scheduled for August.

The plans for restoring water supply to Mykolayiv include various technological solutions that will allow optimizing the process and effectively implementing the project. It is expected that in the near future, the city's residents will have access to drinking water due to the completion of work and the launch of water supply.

Driven by civilization development, Mykolayiv and its residents have affirmed their struggle for drinking water. The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development actively assists in resolving the crisis situation, placing emphasis on quality and stable restoration of water supply to the city. Moreover, due to energy-efficient technologies and high-tech solutions, the project's cost has been reduced, allowing the saved funds to be used for other important water projects in the region.
