The dairy market is experiencing interesting price fluctuations that reflect the dynamics of supply and demand, as well as the overall economic situation.
The "Khvylia" portal, based on data from the "Ministry of Finance," conducted an analysis of the prices of key dairy products - milk, cheese, and butter.
Milk "Prostonashe" with 1% fat content now costs an average of 44.38 UAH for 900 ml, which is 3.07 UAH higher than the September price of 41.31 UAH. This increase by 7.43% may be related to the growing demand for low-fat products. However, "Yahotynske" milk with 2.6% fat shows the opposite trend: its average price decreased from 46.30 UAH to 44.36 UAH for the same volume, which represents a decrease of 4.19%.
Cheese "Prostonashe" with 9% fat content now costs 74.90 UAH for 300 g, whereas in September the price was at 80.79 UAH. The decrease amounted to 5.89 UAH or 7.29%.
The largest price increase is observed in the butter segment. "Yahotynske" butter with 73% fat content now costs an average of 92.50 UAH for 200 g, which is 8.23 UAH higher than the September price of 84.27 UAH. The increase was 9.77%.
Additionally, in Ukraine, in October, prices for chicken and beef skyrocketed.
