It is noted that the celestial phenomenon in Kharkiv is likely an interesting atmospheric phenomenon called 'Light Pillar'.
'Light Pillar' occurs under special atmospheric conditions, specifically pressure, humidity, and air temperature. Nearly stationary symmetrical water crystals form at a relatively low altitude, reflecting light from sources on the ground and creating the illusion of such a pillar.'
