In Vinnytsia, a man beat his partner to death with a metal stick.

The police in Vinnytsia have detained a man suspected of murdering his partner. The incident occurred in the Khmelnytskyi district on May 14, when during a quarrel after drinking alcohol together, the man beat the woman with a stick. The woman sustained fatal injuries and died while being transported to the hospital by ambulance.

The suspect, a 44-year-old man, has already been placed in a temporary detention facility. The police have initiated a criminal proceeding for intentional grievous bodily harm resulting in the death of the victim. This crime may result in a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.

In Khmelnytskyi district, the police have already informed the suspect about the chosen preventive measure. In addition, a recent explosion in the region injured two men. Also, in Zhytomyr region, a man suspected of the death of a woman was detained in Hryshivtsi.
