National Bank 'noted' that banks use Russian software: is there a threat to Ukrainians.

National Bank demands detailed report from banks regarding the use of Russian and Belarusian software
The National Bank of Ukraine has obligated banking institutions to provide comprehensive information regarding the use of software of Russian and Belarusian origin. This requirement is contained in the NBU telegram No. 57-0008/86444. According to it, banks must report on the implementation of measures to minimize cyber risks associated with the use of Russian software, as well as on the current state of dependence on software from Russia and Belarus. The National Bank considers the use of such software as a serious risk, which has already led to numerous hacker attacks and failures in the operation of internet banking and mobile applications. The NBU has set a 21-day deadline for the submission of reports, which demonstrates its determination in ensuring cybersecurity in the banking sector and protecting the interests of banking service users.
