National Export Strategy 2030: Key Priorities Presented at the International Forum.

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, in collaboration with businesses and public organizations, is working on creating a new National Export Strategy aimed at increasing the volume of Ukrainian exports to $77 billion and its share in the country's GDP to 33% by 2030. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Taras Kachka during the International Trade Forum.
The forum presented the priorities, key strategic, and operational goals of the new strategy. Business representatives, producers, experts, and the government discussed opportunities and challenges for Ukrainian exports, as well as sought practical solutions for the development of this sector.
'It is extremely important that the document defining the main directions of our movement in the field of trade development is worked out together with stakeholders. The forum is a great platform to hear feedback, ideas, and proposals from all interested parties regarding the future export strategy of Ukraine,' said Taras Kachka.
According to Kachka, export plays a crucial role in the Ukrainian economy. However, over the past 10 years, the share of exports in GDP has decreased, while the share of raw material exports is increasing. Therefore, one of the strategy's priorities is to increase the production and export of goods with higher added value.
The philosophy of the new strategy is based on the joint work of business, the state, and public institutions to create conditions that will promote the development of exports. The government will perform service functions, supporting manufacturers and businesses in Ukraine and abroad.
During the forum, issues related to Russian aggression, logistics, labor shortages, and investment risks were also discussed. Opportunities and challenges for Ukrainian manufacturers and exporters regarding European integration and Ukraine's accession to the EU were also on the agenda.
