In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian occupiers are trying to attack the positions of Ukrainian defense forces from three directions, but Ukrainian defenders continue to hold the line. This is reported by 'Glavkom' referencing the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). Russian troops are carrying out three separate tasks in this area, but their advance is being hindered by Ukrainian drones and local counterattacks.
However, they have only partially succeeded: in the northeast towards the T-0504 highway and in the southwest towards Novopavlivka. They are currently trying to move directly south and southwest of Pokrovsk.According to the spokesperson of the Operational Tactical Group 'Khortytsia', Viktor Trehubov, the Russians want to cut the T-0504 Pokrovsk-Kostyantynivka highway to the northeast of Pokrovsk, bypass the city from the west, and move toward Novopavlivka.
Effectiveness of drones
ISW analysts note that local counterattacks by Ukrainian forces and the successful use of drones complicate the enemy's plans. ISW also draws attention to reports from Russian military bloggers: according to them, Ukrainian drones dominate the air at low altitudes, forcing the occupiers to move on foot over distances exceeding 10 kilometers, which significantly complicates the delivery of ammunition, water, and fuel.Graves in the city of Pokrovsk
Graves of civilians have appeared in the courtyards of residential buildings in the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region. This may indicate a deterioration in the security situation.Read also
