"In reality, these are unique artifacts from the Polovtsian period that were located in the 'Kam'yani Mohyly' reserve. The Russians have established a military base there. Now they are destroying and looting the protected area, which was created in 1927. The remaining artifacts are being handed over to occupational museums," the statement reads.
The Mariupol city council notes that it is unknown where the museum will now store the artifacts, as the Russians shelled the Mariupol Local History Museum building in the spring of 2022 and it has not been restored since.
