A poll conducted by the National Democratic Institute and the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology showed that 24% of Ukrainians are experiencing serious material difficulties.
The war not only led to human casualties and destruction, but also significantly affected the financial situation of many Ukrainian families. To assess the scale of the problem and better understand the real situation, a large-scale sociological survey was conducted.
In particular, the largest portion of respondents - 39% - reported that their current income causes them some financial difficulties.
The survey data also showed that 28% of participants believe that it is possible to live on their income, and 8% of Ukrainians claim that they live comfortably.
Regarding the future, 47% of those surveyed look pessimistically at the prospects of the next generation, believing that it will be less well-off. But 24% of respondents have an optimistic view of the future well-being of the next generation.
