Prices for potatoes, carrots, and onions continue to rise, which affects the daily diet of most families in Ukraine. According to the Minfin portal, the cost of some vegetables increased in early February.
Potato prices have risen significantly
Potato prices have risen significantly. Young potatoes, pink, and regular potatoes have shown excellent price changes. The price for young potatoes increased from 34.17 UAH/kg to 44.90 UAH/kg, pink potatoes increased slightly from 35.45 UAH/kg to 35.50 UAH/kg, while regular potatoes decreased in price from 34.57 UAH/kg to 31.80 UAH/kg.
The price of carrots has also increased
The price of carrots has also increased. If in January it cost on average 34.90 UAH/kg, now it is already 37.47 UAH/kg. The price difference in various supermarkets is significant - from 31.40 UAH/kg at Metro to 49.50 UAH/kg at Megamarket.
Onions also have their peculiarities depending on the type
Onions also have their peculiarities depending on the type. The price of white onions has almost not changed, increasing from 86.03 UAH/kg to 86.75 UAH/kg. Bulb onions decreased slightly from 16.75 UAH/kg to 15.75 UAH/kg. Blue onions reflect a decrease in price from 34.02 UAH/kg to 29.40 UAH/kg.
