Pope Francis accepted the invitation to visit Ukraine - Head of UGCC.


Pope Francis plans to visit Ukraine
The leader of the UGCC, Sviatoslav Shevchuk, reported that Pope Francis accepted the invitation to visit Ukraine, but the exact date of the visit is still unknown. He also noted that the Pope does not plan to visit Ukraine in 2025.
So far there is no (date for the visit), but Pope Francis sometimes likes to make surprises. He can announce his visit literally a month before he decides to come to Ukraine. Therefore, we enter this new year with hope. Hope that a just peace will indeed prevail in Ukraine
The Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church wishes to establish a bilateral dialogue with the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. It asserts that from the very first moment of the unification council, where the tomos was granted and held in St. Sophia, it has been reaching out to Pope Francis with a request for communication and dialogue. It is expected that these issues will continue to be addressed in the future.
The head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Sviatoslav Shevchuk, also addressed Ukrainians on the occasion of the Nativity of Christ, congratulating them and wishing happiness.
