Eurovision 2025 winner, Austrian singer JJ (real name Johannes Peach), thanked Russian opera singer Anna Netrebko, a supporter of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, after his performance in the grand final. This was reported by 'Hlavkom'.
In his song Wasted Love, the singer combined modern sound with operatic parts. According to JJ, this was inspired by Netrebko.
At the moment when Peach thanked Netrebko, the microphone was turned off, but his words were captured by Ukrainian commentators Timur Miroshnichenko and Alyona Alyona.
Social media users reacted outrageously to the singer's behavior.
“He thanked everyone: Europe, his family, and his muse (Netrebko - 'Hlavkom'),” Miroshnichenko said.
Let’s remember, JJ received 258 points from the professional jury and 178 points from the viewers, totaling 436 points.
Let’s recall that Ukraine took ninth place in the singing competition. The Ukrainian band received a total of 218 points (60 from the jury and 158 from the viewer voting results).
