Imports may become cheaper than domestic goods in 2025
Economic expert Yuriy Havrylechenko stated that imported goods in 2025 may be cheaper than those produced in Ukraine. This is due to the tax increases that began in December 2024. He made this statement on the air of the Kyiv 24 TV channel.
The expert also noted that next year the state budget foresees a significant imbalance between export and import volumes. The gap of several tens of billions of dollars is a 'fantastic difference'.
'This situation may lead to unexpected outcomes, especially considering the tax increases on domestic consumption. Imported products will be cheaper than domestic ones,' warns Havrylechenko.
