Breakthrough of Russians in Sumy Region: Border Guards Report on the Situation.

Russian Aggression at the Sumy Region Border Failed
The Russian Federation failed to break through the Ukrainian border in the Sumy region. According to the spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko, the enemy is using small assault groups, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully stop them.
According to reports, Russian troops are currently trying to push the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of the Kursk region, using small assault groups. The Russian Federation is also trying to apply this tactic during attacks on the settlements of Novenke and Zhuravka in the Sumy region.
Demchenko does not rule out that the enemy may apply the same tactics in other directions, aiming to expand hostilities along the border or in the territory of Ukraine. However, thanks to artillery means, mortars, and drones, the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not allow the enemy to achieve its goals.
It is also noted that the Russian Federation is preparing for a new offensive in the coming weeks, and the highest number of Russian attacks since the beginning of 2025 has already been recorded. Currently, battles are ongoing near Andriivka in Donetsk and Demydivka in Belgorod region.
