Energy ministers of the European Union discussed the challenging situation regarding Ukraine's energy security during the meeting of the Energy Community Ministerial Council in Vienna. Ukraine's Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko, confirmed the intensification of Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, emphasizing the need for support for Ukraine and its energy system. One effective way to support is through donor contributions to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, which has currently reached over 900 million euros. The minister urged representatives of European countries to assist Ukraine in providing necessary equipment and repairing infrastructure.
The Council of Ministers reaffirmed its solidarity with Ukraine, noting that Russia has intensified its attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, threatening the supply of critically important energy resources and taking human lives. Partners highlighted that the work of the Ukraine Energy Support Fund demonstrates cooperation in protecting the country's energy security and restoring and repairing infrastructure, which is vital for millions of Ukrainians.
