Rocket strike on Izium: the number of victims has increased.


The search and rescue operation in Izium has concluded. According to reports from the State Emergency Service and the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleg Synegubov, 43 people were injured as a result of the Russian attack, including three children. There are also five fatalities.
More than 40 individuals sought medical assistance, of which 24 were hospitalized, three of them in serious condition. Among the injured are a six-year-old boy and a sixteen-year-old girl. Their condition is assessed as moderate.
Gallery blockAs a result of the shelling, 170 apartments were damaged, with broken windows. The Regional State Administration head reported that there were no victims under the rubble.
Russia launched a rocket strike on the central part of Izium. The President of Ukraine reported that part of the city council building was destroyed.
On the night of February 4, Russia also massively attacked the Cherkasy region using strike drones. The head of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration, Igor Taburets, called the night 'extremely difficult' and reported that 12 'Shaheds' were destroyed within the region by air defense forces.
These attacks also had consequences. As a result of hostile attacks, fires broke out in the territory of three private enterprises in the regional center. Efforts to extinguish one of these fires are ongoing.
