The fintech service Revolut has temporarily suspended the registration of new users from Ukraine. This was reported by DOU.

The company stated that this does not affect existing Ukrainian clients, who can continue to use their accounts without changes.

"Revolut Bank UAB has temporarily stopped the registration of new clients who are residents of Ukraine. Ukraine remains an important market for Revolut, and we are committed to supporting our customers and the community," the official statement from the company said.

The unofficial reason for the restrictions is attributed to the lack of a banking license from the National Bank of Ukraine, although this has not been commented on by Revolut.

Furthermore, the company emphasized its support for Ukrainians and reminded them of the Clear Sky charity campaign carried out together with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).

This initiative managed to raise over 500,000 pounds sterling, and Revolut will additionally transfer another 200,000 pounds to help those affected by the war.

Also, it is worth noting that the National Bank lifted limits on card transfers, but there is a nuance with banks.
