Russia planned to paralyze the energy system of Kharkiv - SBU.

In Kharkiv, employees of the military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a saboteur who agreed to blow up key power plants that supplied the entire city on orders from Russia. The local children's animator agreed to collaborate with the Russian Federation.

The Russians contacted him through an acquaintance of the suspect who lives in the Russian Federation. The man was recruited remotely and was given the task to blow up an important energy facility that supplies one of the city districts.

In particular, an FSB employee provided him with instructions on how to make a bomb at home. The SBU noted that they arrested the collaborator while he was collecting explosives right in his own apartment.

Additionally, it was found out that the man was recording and transmitting data about the location of Defense Forces when he left for work - this is how the collaborator's cooperation with the FSB began. Subsequently, the Russian curators intended to assign him tasks to blow up other energy facilities in Kharkiv.

'During searches of the detained person's residence and vehicle, components for explosive devices, pro-Kremlin symbols, including a Ukrainian passport in a tricolor cover, as well as a tablet and phone with evidence of working for the enemy were seized. The investigators of the SBU informed him about being suspected under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed under martial law)'

Currently, the suspect in the crime is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

It should be noted that in Kyiv today, July 10, a shooting occurred - it turned out that an unknown person killed an employee of the SBU.
