Russia uses new Grom-E1 CAB: range revealed.

Russia has expanded the use of the Grom-E1 aerial bomb, which has been upgraded. This bomb is equipped with its own engine, allowing it to be launched from a great distance. According to The Telegraph, it has been used by Russia for a long Time, but its aircraft still need to approach dangerously close to the front line. To reduce this risk, the occupiers have created an upgraded bomb, Grom-E1, weighing about 600 kg. It has a rocket engine that allows it to fly up to 120 km after being dropped.
The article notes that Russia can keep the Su fighters outside the range of most of Ukraine's air defense systems, except for the American Patriots. According to The Telegraph, Grom-E1 bombs have already been used in attacks on civilian targets, such as a school and a residential building in Myrnohrad and Kherson, as well as in Kharkiv.
Threat from F-16
According to The Telegraph, the increased use of the Grom-E1 bomb is related to the threat from F-16s, which can intercept Russian aircraft at a distance of up to 65 km.
Recall that Russia has begun withdrawing BRDM-2 armored vehicles from military depots, which indicates their shortage on the front line.
Moreover, Russia has started producing a new long-range strike drone called "Harpy-A1". A Chinese engine and components are used for its production.
