Hale's Case: HACC Detained Deputy Minister of Energy's Trusted Person.


The High Anti-Corruption Court arrested Serhii Pylypchuk, the trusted person of Deputy Minister of Energy Oleksandr Khail. He was granted bail of 65 million UAH. This was reported by the press service of the Anti-Corruption Center.

According to the investigation, money was transferred through Pylypchuk, which the investigation calls an improper benefit for the decision to transfer equipment for coal mining.
Out of the recorded $300 thousand bribe, 142 thousand dollars were found. Another $158 thousand has not yet been found.
During his speech, Pylypchuk called everything a provocation. He claims to have negotiated with the Deputy Minister of one of the European countries about 1 gigawatt of electricity.
The ACP reminded that President Zelensky and Minister Halushchenko mentioned 1 gigawatt in their speeches. Experts called these forecasts unrealistic.
Also, according to the Center, former MP from VO Svoboda Eduard Leonov wanted to take Pylypchuk on bail. He testified that he met with Pylypchuk regarding army support. According to Leonov, Pylypchuk went to the combat zone, they created the volunteer formation Themis.
As noted, the SAP prosecutor asked to set bail for the suspect at 100 million UAH, but the judge set the bail at 65 million UAH.
In case the bail is posted, Pylypchuk will be required to: appear at the request of the detective, prosecutor, court, notify about the change of place of residence and work, surrender his foreign passport, not leave the boundaries of Kyiv and the region, and wear an electronic bracelet.
Recall, Deputy Minister of Energy Oleksandr Khail was detained on a $500 thousand bribe.
