The US to Change the Design of Dollar Banknotes: When and Which Bills Will Be Released.

The US central bank plans to change the design of dollar banknotes to make them safer and to protect against counterfeiting. The Federal Reserve has published a schedule for updating the designs of different denominations. The design of the $10 bills is planned to be updated in 2026, $50 bills in 2028, $20 bills in 2030, $5 bills in 2032, and $100 bills in 2034.
Currently, all dollar banknotes issued after 1914 are in circulation. Ukrainian banks must accept all these banknotes as long as they are not damaged and have passed authenticity checks.
Changing the design of dollars is a way to protect the currency from counterfeiting and to maintain trust in it. The new $100 bills, introduced in 2013, have some differences from previous ones. In particular, the portrait of Benjamin Franklin has been made larger and the oval frame has been removed. In addition, cotton and linen are used in the production of banknotes, which gives them a special texture.
