Electricity transmission tariff to increase by a quarter: timeframes announced.

The National Commission for Energy and Utilities has approved the draft decision to increase the electricity transmission tariff.
According to the document, the tariff will increase by 25.8% in 2025 and amount to 665.26 UAH/MWh.
A separate tariff of 352.73 UAH/MWh is proposed for green metallurgical companies. The tariff for dispatching management will be set at 95.07 UAH/MWh.
The reasons for the tariff increase include the reduction in electricity production and transmission volumes, the increase in costs to compensate for technological losses, the increase in salaries of 'Ukrenergo' staff, the increase in credit payments, and the costs for settlements with renewable energy producers. The calculations also take into account inflation and exchange rate changes.
According to forecasts by 'Ukrenergo', the electricity transmission volume in 2025 will be 98,651,000 MWh. Expenses for special obligations are estimated at 30 billion UAH and the costs for reducing the burden on green electricity producers at 632 million UAH.
It is worth noting that 'Ukrenergo' initially proposed a much higher tariff increase of 48% to 783.71 UAH/MWh.
Energy specialist Oleg Popenko commented on the situation on social media: 'Yes, this is what I wrote about a month ago. This will directly affect the costs of all goods and services that we use.'
