According to the Hurryett publication, Turkey expects a record number of foreign tourists this summer. The country aims to attract 65 million tourists by 2025 and generate 64 billion dollars in tourism revenue. Last year, over 62 million tourists arrived in India, with the revenue from this sector amounting to 61.1 billion dollars.

The Turkish tourism industry is already speaking positively about significant demand for summer vacations, especially from tourists from Europe, Asia, and America. Major global tourism fairs held in London and Berlin noted an expected increase in visitor numbers.

The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Ersoy, noted that there are signs of new records in the tourism sector. Last year, 6.7 million guests from Russia, 6.6 million from Germany, and 4.4 million from the United Kingdom visited Turkey.

The minister also reported that Turkey has become a popular destination for German tourists, and this year more than 7 million guests from Germany are expected to visit. In 2025, an increase in the number of visitors from the United Kingdom to 4.8 million is also anticipated.

However, not all hoteliers in Turkey are so optimistic about the summer season. Tourists are increasingly opting out of vacations in Turkey in favor of more affordable destinations like Greece and Egypt. Some industry representatives express concern about the potential failure of the summer tourist season in 2025.

Additionally, medical tourism in Turkey has also reached record levels. The hair transplant procedure has become particularly popular among visitors, reaching 2 million visitors last year.
