The 'Diia' application will add photos and videos of violations to auto-fines.

Drivers who violate traffic rules will now receive photo and video evidence of their violations through the 'Diia' application. This information was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Until now, fines were only received in the form of text details describing the violation, location, and Time. Now, the application has also added photo and video evidence.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminds that fines can be checked on the Ministry's website, portal, and also in the 'Diia' and 'Traffic Fines' applications. Fines can be paid using a card, ApplePay, or GooglePay.
Fines for Lack of Insurance
The Head of the Patrol Police Department of Ukraine, Oleksii Biloshytskyi, commented on the issue of fines for not having car insurance. There is information that starting from January 1, 2025, road cameras will automatically record such violations.
Currently, there are no legislative grounds for the use of the auto-fixing system regarding this particular violation
For the police to be able to use road cameras to fine car owners for lacking insurance, it is necessary to amend the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and other regulatory legal acts governing this issue. Technically, the auto-fixing system is not adapted to record such violations.
Changes in Speed Regulations
Starting from November 1, 2024, all cities in Ukraine will change the speed limit rules on the roads. The maximum allowed speed will be 50 km/h.
Mandatory Low Beam Headlights Outside the City
Additionally, new provisions of the Traffic Rules have come into effect in Ukraine. According to them, using low beam headlights outside the city remains mandatory, as it was after May 1. Relevant amendments to the Traffic Rules were introduced by Cabinet Resolution №1105 dated October 20, 2023.
We also remind that in the four years since the introduction of automatic traffic violation registration in Ukraine, police have issued over 10 million rulings, of which 89% have been executed, totaling over 2.1 billion UAH in unpaid fines.
