Ukraine Faces Workforce Shortage: How Labor Market Issues Are Being Addressed.

The authorities are addressing the labor shortage issue
It is forecasted that over the next 10 years, Ukraine may face a serious problem with a labor shortage. Businesses will find it difficult to tackle this challenge as they will need to find new ways to attract and retain staff. This issue is being addressed by representatives of the authorities and businesses.
One aspect of the problem is that displaced persons cannot find jobs in their professions in new regions, although there is a shortage of workers in neighboring areas. One way to solve this problem is creating a "demand map," which takes regional specificities into account.
Additionally, the labor market faces the problem of age discrimination, where many employers refuse to accept candidates aged 40 and above. It is also necessary to consider the complex process of attracting foreign workers, which requires creating a system for their integration. At the same Time, such migration can create additional stress on the labor markets in Ukraine.
The government is considering various options for economic booking to reduce the labor shortage. Work is also underway to return Ukrainian refugees from abroad. It is necessary to continue discussing the issue with representatives of the government and state structures for the successful stabilization of the situation and the implementation of economic recovery projects in Ukraine.
