The National Police seizes property of Russian capital worth 20 billion hryvnias The National Police of Ukraine continues its investigation and seizure of assets related to Russian capital. The total value of the seized property amounts to 20 billion hryvnias. This was reported by the First Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine, Head of the Main Investigative Department, Maksym Tsutskiridze. According to him, the police continue to identify assets related to Russia. During the entire conflict period, more than a hundred entities have been seized, such as deposits, factories, office centers, and other assets. 17 billion of the seized assets have already been transferred to the management of the state Agency for the Search and Management of Assets (ARMA). The funds obtained from the sale of these assets are directed to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the restoration of critical infrastructure that has been damaged as a result of military actions. One example of these actions is the activity of the sanctioned group of companies that, despite the seizure of property and the cancellation of special permits, continued their commercial activities. Enterprises previously owned by Russian citizens were re-registered to third parties. Factories and quarries continued the extraction and processing of minerals, and the profits obtained were transferred abroad, particularly to the Russian Federation. As part of the investigation, investigators uncovered illegal economic activity, halted production capacities, seized special equipment and resources for the extraction and processing of raw materials, as well as documentation for the legalization of property. The police pay special attention to documenting attempts to export assets abroad. In the discovered correspondence of the company's director, contacts with sanctioned individuals and coordination of violations of the law were recorded.
