The entrepreneur who supplied a thousand defective FPV drones to the Armed Forces has been exposed.

The Security Service and the National Police have uncovered and stopped a scheme to embezzle state funds in the procurement of drones for the Defense Forces. The organizer of this scheme turned out to be the director of a private company from the Kyiv region, which is engaged in the production of unmanned systems.
According to sources, the suspect is the owner and director of the company "Dronica" Bohdan Dovbysh. His company, created in November 2022, ended last year with a profit of 5.38 million hryvnias.
This year, the entrepreneur won a tender to purchase 1,000 FPV drones for the Armed Forces, the tender was conducted by the Netishyn City Council.
The total contract value amounted to 16.4 million hryvnias, of which, according to the investigation, the company owner stole almost a third.
To implement the scheme, contractors installed low-quality navigation equipment on the drones, including video cameras and video transmitters, which did not meet the declared technical specifications of the drones.
The suspect artificially lowered the cost of drone production, keeping a large portion of the money for himself.
Each drone was resold with a markup ranging from 4,000 to 7,500 hryvnias, depending on its type.
After auditing and examining the product for compliance with technical requirements, law enforcement officials obtained additional evidence of the entrepreneur's criminal activities.
Based on this evidence, he has been notified of suspicion of illegally acquiring property by abusing his official position in a particularly large amount.
Consideration is being given to selecting a preventive measure for the suspect. He faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The investigation continues to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring the guilty to justice.
Recall, earlier the SBU detained a FSB agent who tried to infiltrate ammunition depots.
