Ukrainian Oleksandr Zolototrubov lost his life during the war
Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all victims of the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Oleksandr Zolototrubov.
On January 5, 2025, a young man from Lviv, Oleksandr Zolototrubov, who defended Ukraine, died. This was reported by the Lviv City Council.
Oleksandr was born on December 8, 1996, in Lviv. He studied at school No. 77 in Lviv, focusing on economics and management.
In 2016, Oleksandr graduated from the 'Interregional Higher Professional School of Automotive Transport and Construction' with a specialization in 'Maintenance and Repair of Cars and Engines'.
Initially, he worked at a local gas station, and for the last two years, he was employed at the 'Blizhenko' store chain. He had an interest in cars. According to his family, Oleksandr was a good son and brother, a loving uncle, a faithful and reliable friend.
After the start of Russian aggression, he began to defend his homeland as part of the 108th Separate Mechanized Battalion 'Wolves Da Vinci' of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakov Gandziuk of the Operational Command 'South' of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He conducted combat missions in the Donetsk direction.
The life of the young defender of Ukraine was cut short on January 5, 2025.
The young man's funeral took place on January 10 at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul. He was buried at Lychakiv Cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, sister, niece, and many friends.
We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the war. We remember them and light candles of memory, honoring the citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: military personnel, civilians, and children, everyone who died in the struggle against the Russian occupiers and as a result of the attacks of hostile troops on Ukrainian cities and villages.
