Zelensky discussed with Tusk the conditions for achieving peace in Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with the Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk regarding the conditions for achieving peace and coordinating positions with European partners.
The head of state reported this on social media on February 13.
'I had a conversation with the Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk. We discussed the conditions necessary for a lasting and genuine peace in Ukraine, and agreed that no negotiations with Putin can begin without a united position of Ukraine, Europe, and the USA'- wrote Zelensky.
According to the president, he informed the Polish prime minister about his conversation with Donald Trump. The parties discussed key messages and the necessity of coordinating positions of European countries.
Zelensky emphasized the importance of conducting negotiations from a position of strength and reliable security guarantees. He stressed that membership in NATO would be the most economically beneficial for partners, and serious investments in the Ukrainian defense industry would provide an additional guarantee of security.
The president also warned world leaders against trusting Putin's words about his readiness to end the war.
