Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated Russian karate judge.


The Defense Forces stopped Russian judge Maxim Gerykh, who had actively engaged in karate for eight years. He had experience competing in various karate tournaments in Russia and held the title of third-category judge.
A decision was also made regarding Russian athlete Alsu Minazova, who participated in propaganda events with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. She received 'neutral status' from the International Canoe Federation. Additionally, she honored the head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov on his birthday.
Decision on Russian athletes in 'neutral' status
President of the International Ski Federation (FIS) Johan Eliasch supported the return of Russian and Belarusian athletes to competitions in 'neutral' status at the 2024 Olympic Games. He believes that athletes should not be restricted because of their place of birth.
The decision to allow Russians and Belarusians to compete in 'neutral' status was made by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
However, Russian and Belarusian athletes remain suspended from competitions until the end of the 2024/25 season. The process of selecting the national teams for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games is still ongoing.
Admission of Russian female athletes to swimming competitions
The International Swimming Federation allowed Russian athlete Yevgenia Chikunova to participate in competitions, even though she publicly expressed support for dictator Vladimir Putin and the Russian war against Ukraine. Another swimmer, Yevgenia Rylova, also expressed her support for the war and Putin on social media.
Taekwondo tournament with Ukrainian children participation
Olympic champion in taekwondo Maxim Kramtsov held a tournament that brought together Ukrainian children from the occupied part of Donetsk region. Kramtsov openly supports Russian dictator Putin.
