The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the forward command post of the occupiers in Bakhmut.

The strike of the Ukrainian Air Forces on the command post of the occupiers
On May 21, 2025, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully hit the forward command post of the third army corps of the occupiers in Bakhmut, as reported by the General Staff citing the Commander-in-Chief.
After the strike, the building where the enemy was located was significantly damaged. This strike severely limits the ability of the Russian Federation to plan and conduct operations in the Pokrovsk direction, which is one of the most intense fronts, the General Staff explained.
«The Defense Forces will continue to attack the command points of the aggressor until the complete withdrawal of the occupiers from Ukrainian territory and the establishment of a just and lasting peace,» the message stated.
Additionally, on the night of May 23, drones attacked the PJSC «Energia» factory in the city of Yelets in the Lipetsk region of Russia, which is a key producer of batteries for military drones, the Commander-in-Chief reported citing Russian Telegram channels.
PJSC «Energia» is one of the largest producers of chemical energy sources in Russia and the only supplier of batteries for glider guidance and correction modules on aerial bombs.
Situation in the Russian defense industry
The attack on the PJSC «Energia» factory was not the only incident in recent months in the Russian defense industry. During the same period, there were fires at the «Splav» factory in Tula and at the Saransk fiber optic production plant.
The situation indicates rising tensions in the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation and the increasing activity of the Ukrainian Air Forces.
