Utility prices have risen in Ukraine in 2024
Data from the State Statistics Service shows that the cost of utility services in Ukraine has changed significantly in 2024. According to statistics, compared to December 2023, utility expenses have increased on average by 18.9%. The biggest impact on the rise in the total cost of utility services was the increase in electricity prices.
In particular, the largest increase affected electricity - it has become more expensive by more than one and a half times, increasing by 63.6%. Prices for managing apartment buildings have also risen by 11.2%, waste disposal by 8.9%, and housing maintenance with repairs by 3.9%.
Natural gas, hot and cold water supply, heating, and sewage tariffs have remained unchanged. Compared to last year, utility tariffs have increased by almost one-fifth - by 18.6%. The sharpest price increases were observed in two categories: electricity and management of apartment buildings.
Since January 1 of last year, Ukrainians have faced changes in utility service prices.
