How to determine the composition of the household for receiving a housing rent subsidy
According to government resolution No. 1225 dated October 25, 2024, all persons living in the rented premises and having family ties with the tenant may be included in the composition of the household.
Family ties concern not only spouses and their children but also other relatives. This also includes children who are studying in full-Time or dual education until the age of 23 if they do not have their own families. Additionally, children with disabilities are included in the household composition after reaching adulthood until they are recognized as persons with disabilities from childhood of I and II groups.
Special attention is paid to persons who need care. A person living with a single person with disability I group and caring for them is included in the household. Also included are non-working parents of spouses who are dependent due to the absence of their own income.
A household can consist of only one person. Remember that not all individuals may be included in the household composition. This applies to persons receiving full state support, students living in hostels for more than three months, as well as persons who are abroad, in captivity, or serving in the military for more than 30 consecutive days.
It is important to consider that the composition of the household is determined at the time of submitting the application for receiving a housing rent subsidy and is recorded in the official documentation. The subsidy is assigned for a six-month period and takes into account all registered household members.
